Melodic arpeggios

The study of arpeggios is essential in the daily practice of the flute player. Their utility covers the control of air emission and the homogeneity of sound.

In these exercises in which the arpeggios run through the two octaves in ascending and descending order, students can enjoy two items: the chance to test themselves in the execution of almost all the technical steps with an interval not exceeding the third major within each quatrain and the reference tune provided by simple instrumental accompaniment, (free download from www.riccardorinaldi.flute site), which generally confirms the chord, but that sometimes, with the introduction of different notes, it provides further elements for its reading,

In addition to make execution more pleasant, the sequence is designed so that the chords have a consecutiveness, to give to every exercise an almost “melodic” character.
